HE LOVES ME, HE LOVES ME NOT
Love is a fickle thing. It can be the best feeling in the world or the worst. Regardless, LOVE is worth it. With every down there is an up and lessons learned along the way. Tomorrow is Valentines day and you may be in a relationship, single, seeing someone or just planning to have a girls night! No matter what you have planned, it is a special day to show and shower your loved ones including yourself with a little more sweetness than usual. I am a firm believer that you shouldn't just be sweet, or buy someone chocolate once a year, but it is nice to have a day dedicated to doing something a little kinder, or more romantic. Just switch up your everyday routine. I am not saying make a reservation at the fanciest restaurant, buy an over priced dress and expect a diamond. What I AM saying is just put a little extra thought into the day and evening and make it memorable. You will be surprised by how much words and actions can impact us without even spending a dime. Yes, going out to dinner is lovely and that is one thing I personally like to do, but I also love getting flowers unexpectedly, receiving a meaningful card, or just having the one surprise you at work or plan an activity that in focused on quality time. Everyone is different and everyone will show you love in their own way. Be open to give AND receive. Spread the love, smile more and just enjoy the satisfaction of making that special someone know how you truly feel about them.[gallery columns="1" size="full" link="file" ids="1964"]
MY GALENTINES
Friends are so important to have! You don't need to have a ton, but you do need to have some. True girlfriends are there for you no matter, you're dolled up, in your yoga pants, sobbing, acting crazy, away at school or in a different state advancing your career. I am blessed to have found magnificent gals who love me and all of me. I mutually adore them and although we don't get to talk or hang out all the time, the unspoken respect and loyalty we have for each other is unlike any other. Keep those relationships strong, and show your gals some love![gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="1946"]
STOP TO SMELL THE (FLOWERS)
Life sometimes takes us on a crazy journey. At times you may feel overwhelmed, a little stressed or even lonely. All those feelings are normal and will come and go. When life throws you unexpected obstacles, pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick and pull yourself together. Learning to take a step back and review all that's good in your life will positively impact your well being. Things don't always go as planned, and sometimes you are single or in between relationships but, the key is to remember that at the end of the day you always have you. With that said, treat yourself with respect, don't be too hard on yourself and learn to love yourself no matter what! So when life becomes hard, or you feel like you are not where you want to be, take a moment to STOP and smell the (flowers).[gallery columns="2" size="full" link="file" ids="1987,1976"]
PROFESSIONAL, CUTE & CLASSY
Just because you have a full time job (which most of us probably do) does not mean you can't be professional, cute and classy. Valentines Day is on a Wednesday this year and you and I will most likely be in the office. I am not implying you show up in your little black dress, but I am encouraging you to embrace the Valentines Day even though it lands on a weekday. Us working gals should be able to express our excitement and joy for any Holiday no matter what day it is. Remember you were made to stand out, so do just that. My Valentine work outfit you see below can be seen as professional, stylish and V-Day appropriate. I purchased my skirt and blouse from the The Loft. This skirt is not only adorable and comfy, it is also practical if you're a city girl up north. My blouse is sheer soft pink and will go well with either skirts or slacks. The Loft is my go to when it comes to my professional attire. I do shop at multiple places, but always make it a top priority to see what new articles of clothing they have in store. In fact, they not only have a great selection, they also have a petite line which is great for small girls like me. My shoes are from Steve Madden, and well, I don't have to say any more about that, it's Steve Madden. My bangles are from Kendra Scott, and my flowers are from my boyfriend! Valentines Day is not only about loving someone else, it is very important to honor and love yourself. So with that in mind, dress to impress and wear whatever makes you feel extra beautiful![gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="1965,1967,1974"]
