3 ACCESSORY MUST HAVES FOR THE FALL AND WINTER

Hey Guys, Thanksgiving is right around the corner! I know you're all busy getting ready for Thursday, but I wanted to share my 3  Accessory Must Haves for this fall and winter before you start packing and planning your "Turkey Day" outfit.[gallery link="file" columns="1" size="full" ids="5255,5254"]As some of you may know, I'm a Florida girl at heart, so I'm use to the good ole warm Thanksgivings back home. After moving to D.C. a little over two years ago, I have continued to make my way down south for the holidays. I wanted to switch it up this year and thought it may be fun to spend Thanksgiving in the same city everyone will be watching from home - New York City! Follow along and stay tuned for my post about my first Thanksgiving in the Big Apple. Now that I live up north, I'm finally getting to enjoy the beauty of seasonal accessorizing. Don't get me wrong, I still dressed the part in Florida with my imaginary seasons, but now I don't have to break a sweat when I decide to wear my faux fur or knee-high boots, haha. After experiencing two cycles of seasons, I've come up with 3 accessory must haves for the cooler months that will keep you both warm and stylish![gallery link="file" columns="1" size="full" ids="5263,5253"]

1. FLOPPY HAT

Hats, in general are an accessory that can be worn year round. They can be a nice addition to any outfit, especially as it gets colder. They're also little blessings in disguise when you're having a bad hair day. For the fall and winter, my floppy hat is certainly a staple in my closet. I have a black and beige one which I mix and match all season long. The black, wool floppy hat I'm wearing is from Forever 21 and a whooping $22.90 (can't beat that). I love the floppy hat because it keeps me warm on those chilly days as well as looks great with my flirty, fall outfits. These hats don't leave you with bad "hat hair" and are just as much practical as they are stylish. This is why I find them to be an essential accessory during the fall and winter.2. KIMONO COVERUPMy next must have this fall and winter is a kimono coverup. I find myself daydreaming over my newest addition. I recently purchased and am obsessed with my Velvet Burnout Ruana kimono from South Moon Under. First of all, if you haven't been to this store, you will want to check it out next time you're out shopping. This store has been the source of so many of my favorite outfits. Both my "Shadow Floral Faux Wrap dress" (now marked down) worn at the gorgeous Bouquet d'Alella Winery in Barcelona was from there as well as my strapless, spring jumpsuit I wore to my Chic Birthday Brunch at Fiola Mare.Layering has become so trendy and allows you to play with a variety of different patterns and textures. I love that they can be worn with just about anything and still look amazing. This is why owning a couple coverups can never hurt. Whether you're pairing them with leggings, jeans, a skirt or dress, as I did, you will be sure to turn a head or two. My burnout ruana kimono is chic, sexy and versatile. If you're in love with this kimono as much as I am, simply click on the photo to purchase your very own.3. KNEE-HIGH BOOTSMy final chilly weather must have are knee-high boots. I'm all about the extra boost, as I stand a proudly at 5'4 while on my tippy toes. Black knee-high boots are not only classic, but extremely flattering, and sexy. They are a "feel good' boot. Because they tend to be seasonal, once September rolls around, you can be sure to find me rocking my knee-highs. They are a great item to have in your wardrobe, especially if you're a city gal. Just as the other two accessories can be easily paired with just about anything, so can these boots. These boot were made for walking, especially in the fall and winter.
