10 Best Brunch Places in Denver
Hey guys, let’s do brunch! We all know brunch is a very popular meal, and although DC brunch’s claim to fame is impressive, I’ve come to enjoy a handful of brunch spots in the 5280! After visiting Denver a couple times this past year, I thought I’d share some of my favorite spots with you in case you find yourself in the Mile High City.
My 10 Fave Brunch Spots in Denver
Tamayo - This modern Mexican restaurant has a great ambience that pairs nicely with their tasty menu. The assortment of carefully crafted small plates are great for sharing and are full of bold flavor. Don't let size fool you, you'll leave fully satisfied. It's also a tequileria if that's your thing!
Ophelia’s - This historic building used to be one of Denver's first brothels, but has transformed into a music venue and amazing brunch and drink hangout. The upstairs is now a hostel, so you never know what interesting people you'll come across.
The Hornet - Ballin' on a budget? The Hornet offers $2 "make your own bloody's" and delicious homemade pop-tarts that will have you asking for more. This bar is great for watching sports, especially European soccer, with their many TV's placed around the bar.
Denver Biscuit Company - If you're in the mood for anything biscuit related, Denver Biscuit Co. is certainly the place to be. These fancy biscuits are anything but boring and a sure fix for those "rough" mornings.
Lucile’s - This New Orleans inspired restaurant features both French and Cajun food. Their savory beignets will have you thinking you're in the French Quarter. Order up a plate or two!
Sassafras American Eatery - I love this restaurant not only for their food, but their fun twist on Bloody Mary's. Don't be surprised if you get a green bloody.. they're just as good!
Lola - In the mood for Mexican? Try this urban oasis for some yummy brunch food with roots from the beaches of Mexico.
Root down - This funky and unique restaurant offers up a ton of amazing classics along with bottomless drink options. This is a great place to go with friends or solo.
Breakfast King - Craving that diner vibe? Breakfast King is the place for you. Enjoy some traditional brunch that will hit the spot and it's open 24/7, so you can enjoy breakfast any time you want. It has also been recognized as one of the best 100 diners in the US, so order up!
Snooze: an AM Eatery - This is a crowd favorite, with all around good brunch. This fun brunch spot puts a fresh twist on American classics that will leave you full and satisfied. Any of their locations are sure to hit the spot.
